Painting with my non-dominant left hand!

I tripped and came down hard on my right hand a few weeks ago and managed to break a bone. Undeterred (and setting my ego aside), I did three plein air floral pastel paintings using my left hand.  Details were more difficult but I didn’t find the process as daunting as I expected and the outcome was okay, under the circumstances.

 

I welcome your thoughts and knowledge to enlighten me on the workings of the brain because I am generally SO right handed that I can’t even brush my teeth with my left hand.
